Cliff
Robertson is an Oscar and Emmy award-winning Actor with over
50 years of experience and more then 100 film, television and
stage credits. He received an Oscar for Best Actor for Charly,
and was personally selected by President Kennedy to portray
him in PT-109. Other notable films featuring Cliff in
leading roles include: The Best Man, Obsession,
The Devils Brigade, and Three Days of the Condor.
In 2002, Cliff will play the key supporting role of Uncle Ben
for the summer blockbuster Spiderman.
In
addition to acting, Cliff was the AT&T spokesperson for
10 years, and he has narrated numerous television documentaries,
including the 2001 PBS special Reach for the Sky, about
the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. He is also an accomplished
writer, producer and director of several dramatic films, including
the highly-acclaimed J.W. Coop, which he wrote, produced,
directed and starred in.
Outside
of the entertainment business, Cliff has been actively involved
in aviation for over 35 years, and is highly respected in aviation
circles as a single, multi-engine, and glider pilot. He has
owned a wide variety of historic and modern aircraft over the
past 35 years, and in 1986, the Experimental Aircraft Association
(EAA) awarded him the Freedom of Flight Award, which is the
organizations highest honor.
Cliff
Robertson will be a tremendous asset for Honor Squadrons International
as he takes on the role of Narrator, as well as lending his
voice to dramatic readings of poetry
and historic letters. As his time permits, Cliff also has the
option to write as many as three scripts for the series.
